Golf in Myrtle Beach crosses all economic and social barriers and unites people with the religion of golf! Located in South Carolina on the coast north of Charleston, Myrtle Beach has a reputation of being South Carolina’s largest resort town, though the main attraction is the high standard golf courses and the golf vacation. Many of these golf courses are among the best golf courses according to professional golfers. Many of the golf courses are designed by professional golfers themselves, making them one of the most sought after, and popular golf courses in the world.
The famous golf course in the Myrtle Beach is TPC Myrtle Beach which was designed by the famous golfer Tom Fazio himself. The main challenge for him was to create a golf course in Myrtle Beach that fitted into its natural landscape. The other popular choices are the Dunes Golf Club, which is the classiest and the oldest. This golf course is a part of the Dunes Resort. The players who are staying in there receive special discounted drink services on the course along with special golf offers. Read the rest of this entry »

Some of the Top Golf Resorts in the United States are out West in California and Arizona. Right now there are some folks boycotting Arizona due to the new illegal immigration laws which mirror the Federal Laws which are so often not enforced. This provides a wonderful opportunity to get away from the crowds and enjoy the top Arizona Golf Courses.
Indeed, I hear the Trillium is quite spectacular, and of course those gold courses in Scottsdale Arizona and there must be 50 or so nearby are truly magnificent. The landscapes stunning with wildlife watching you play as you go. Road runners, rabbits, and hawks souring above; and I am not sure where they find all those picture perfect Socorro Cactus (the Arizona Official Tree, protected by law) but they sure make for a postcard’esque digital picture as you look to eagle your next hole.
And if you love the desert landscape then you’ll love the Palm Springs Golf Resorts and adjacent cities such as; La Quinta, Palm Desert, Indian Wells, and Rancho Mirage. There aren’t really 200 golf courses in the Coachella Valley there, but there are well over 150. It is amazing how proper irrigation has brought that desert resort area to life - perfect for Golf Vacations. Read the rest of this entry »

There are 19 courses in the Marbella area, and thirty more are within an hour’s drive. For practical purposes, the greater Marbella area can be divided in three locations comprising a total of nineteen courses: Marbella east, central Marbella, and the 64 square-mile area west of Marbella including Nueva Andalucía, San Pedro and Benahavís.
The seven-mile stretch of coast known as Marbella East features a number of luxury residential complexes sufficiently remote from the town centre to foster a quieter and less crowded lifestyle. This additional breathing room has made possible-and to an extent results from-the existence of five courses in the area. From east to west, these are: Cabopino Golf, Santa María Golf and Country Club, Marbella Golf and Country Club, Santa Clara Golf, and Golf Río Real. Situated between the N340 national coastal road and the higher Autopista del Sol motorway, these courses provide gentle slopes toward the sea, and correspondingly generous sea views. Ayrshire features many outstanding golf courses, including two Open Championship venues. In recent years, the area has seen an escalation in golf tourism because of the nearness of Glasgow Prestwick Airport and the provision of an increased number of direct air connection. Turnberry The Westin Turnberry Resort, Turnberry, Ayrshire, Scotland KA26 9LT offers two 18-hole Championship Links courses along with the 9-hole Arran “Academy” Course. Ailsa Course This par 70 course has hosted 3 Open Championships.
At over 7,200 yards from the back tees, it provides a stern test for even the best players. From the outset, if offers little respite, with the wind blowing off the sea for the first 3 holes. Holes 4 to 11 provide glorious coastal views. The 9th is the “signature” hole, with the renowned lighthouse as a backdrop to a disconcerting drive across the corner of the bay. On turning for home, players need to maintain control and good course management skills as cunningly contoured fairways and undulating greens can deceive the unwary. 2009 summer (May-October) green fees were £170 for residents of the resort and £210 for non-residents.
